New Virtual Card
unlinQ Introduces VirtuCard
Virtual credit card's intial focus is on improved privacy
15 November 2006
unlinQ today announced the introduction of VirtuCard, an economical pre-paid payment card designed designed for consumers and small businesses with a desire for greater privacy when purchasing goods and services from on-line merchants.
Truly Virtual
There are already a few virtual credit cards out there. Ours is truly virtual: no plastic is card issued. Useful for web merchants, to fund telecom services, on-line subscriptions, etc.
VirtuCard is a pre-loaded, active, account number issued to a nym (not our client’s name) fresh on demand. There is no compromise in identity due to courier delivery or cost. It’s not detectable by the merchant as being a virtual card. Clients are provided with a unique operating credit card number, expiration date, 3-digit CVC/CVV and proper ‘personal’ identification information to complete on-line transactions for that card.
Introductory Benefits
While automation of VirtuCard’s funding process continues we have also been manually stressing nuts-and-bolts of the transaction process.
