VirtuCard Plus FAQ
It is a pre-paid card from one of the two major worldwide card systems and is issued by a regulated U.S. bank. It is available in two forms: a standard plastic card and a digital/virtual card which can only be used with online merchants.

Is it a Credit Card?Not exactly. The amount you can spend is limited to the total value on the card when it was purchased. Unlike a credit card, you do not receive any bills – the amount of each purchase is simply debited from the remaining balance on the card.
Where can I use it?Your VirtuCard Plus is welcomed wherever major credit cards are accepted Worldwide (except online gambling sites).
How do I use my card to make purchases at retail locations?Using a Virtucard Plus is similar to using a regular major credit card. Every time a purchase is made face-to-face, you are required to sign for your purchase. If prompted to select between "credit" and "debit", you must always select the "credit" option. Selecting the "debit" option will lead to the transaction being declined. Virtucard Plus cards are not issued with a PIN number.
Can I withdraw money from an ATM?No, VirtuCard Plus can be used for purchases only.
Can I get cash back from my card?No, VirtuCard Plus can be used for purchases only, with no cash back privileges.
Can I use my card to make purchases online?Most definitely! VirtuCard Plus is welcome wherever major debit cards are accepted (except online gambling sites). All you have to do prior to using the card online is register the card in your name. Contact unlinQ with the card holder name and U.S. address you would like registered.
Do I need to register my card?Registration is highly recommended. By registering your card, you are automatically provided with the full security benefits of a major debit card. This includes easy replacement of cards, which are lost or stolen. When purchases are made where you are not present (i.e. phone and the internet) the Merchant verifies that the name of the purchaser is the same as the name registered to the card. To register your card please provide unlinQ with the desired cardholder name and address (U.S. addresses only at this time).
How do I purchase a VirtuCard?Simply click on VirtuCard Plus link from the Order menu and select one of the accepted payment methods.
If you wish to use of the digital currencies and do not yet have an account you will need to open one before you can fund with it. (Please see these tutorials if you need information about how to open a DGC account.) You can find a list of convenient and competitive gold currency exchangers here.
How do I receive my VirtuCard?Digital VirtuCard Plus' are sent by email. Plastic VirtuCards Plus are sent via first class post (courier delivery also available for additional fee). See Order page for details.
What information regarding my new digital VirtuCard Plus will be sent by email?- - 12-digit Transaction/Identification number
- - 16-Digit card number

- 3-digit CW2 - three digit number normally found on the back of a credit card, also called the verification code.
How long does it take to receive my VirtuCard Plus?
If the selected denomination is in stock and you purchase the card with one of the accepted digital currencies order processing normally takes between 4 hours (during business hours, Monday-Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, U.S. Eastern time zone, except for bank holidays) and two business days (outside our business hours, Sat-Sun) after payment has been received by our staff.
Payment using cash and money orders require about 3-5 business days, after receipt of payment for funding.

- What if my card is lost or stolen?

Contact unlinQ and your card will be canceled. If your card had been previously registered, we will verify your details and issue a replacement. There is a $10.00 fee that is deducted from the cards balance.

Yes, as long as the card is not expired. There is a service fee. Contact unlinQ for details.
- How much value is left on my card?

You can check your card balance by contacting unlinQ.
- What happens if I'm not sure if my card has enough value to make a purchase?

Restaurants may check to see whether your card has sufficient value for a tip of up to 20% of the total bill. If your card does not have enough money, unlinQ recommends telling the cashier that you prefer to pay the difference using an alternate payment method first, and then pay the remaining balance with your VirtuCard Plus. Hotels and car rental agencies may check to see whether your card has sufficient value to cover incidental charges, up to 15% over and above the total bill. If your card has insufficient funds, unlinQ recommends telling the cashier that you prefer to pay the difference using an alternate payment method first, and then pay the remaining balance with your VirtuCard Plus.
- Why was my card declined?
- If your card has been declined, you will need to check your available balance.
- If you have sufficient funds to cover the purchase contact unlinQ.
- If the purchase amount is greater than the available balance on your card, please tell the cashier that you would prefer to pay the difference with an alternate payment method first, and then pay the remaining balance with your VirtuCard Plus. However, some merchants may not be able to do this.
- *Does my card expire ?

Yes. unlinQ expires Plus cards approoximately 11 months from the date of purchase independent of the bank's expiry date for the card (which is usually about 24 months from the purchase date) .
- What if value remains on the card after it expires?
The value is lost.
Does it cost me anything to use the card?There is no fee or surcharge for making purchases using your VirtuCard Plus card.
*Are there any service fees?No monthly service fees are payable if the entire card balance is used before the card's unlinQ expiry date (about eleven months from the time the card is purchased).
Can I despute charges made with the card?You can dispute charges made on your account with the merchant directly. If that does not work then you may file a dispute with us and we will attempt to resolve the matter on your behalf. If you want to dispute a charge within 90 day of the transaction, you will need to complete the dispute form and send it in to our cardholder services department within 90 days of the transaction(s). Why can't I use my card at an automatic fuel dispenser?The Automated fuel dispensers create a preauthorization for $75 on the card, which is returned to the card after the transaction settles. This will take 5-7 business days. Your funds are withheld till than. To prevent this preauthorization, which will withhold your funds, the card cannot be used at the fuel pump terminal.
How can I purchase fuel for my auto with the card?To prevent the preauthorization on your card, please pay the cashier and advise the cashier of the available balance on your card and the amount for the fuel you would like to purchase.

We endevour to stock cards in these denominations: $5, 10, 25, 50, 100, 200, 500. Other denominations may be custom ordered but delivery times will be longer.

- Is there any name associated with the card?
Only if you supply a cardholder name and address during the registration process. Without registration the card may not be used with telephone or online merchants.
Will the card work with any on-line merchant accepting credit cards?Yes
How many times may I use a VirtuCard Plus?There is no limit to the number of times you may use a VirtuCard Plus.
*Do I need to send you any ID?Purchases of the plastic version require a postal delivery address but no registration. Registration the card is required before the card may be used with telephone or online merchants. Registration data need not link to your personal identity but it must be 'reasonable' (e.g., address and postal code must be consistent).
Do you report my transactions to anyone?No
Do you guarantee the money?Your money is issued and backed by a registered bank holding company in the U.S.
Can I load my card in any other ways, for example at a bank?No
